Self-proved electronic will, requirements
An electronic will can be made 'self-proved' (meaning courts accept it without extra proof) either the same way a regular will is, or by using an online notary over the internet if there aren't two witnesses in the same room. The online notary must be allowed to do that job under state or federal law, and a special certificate must be included.
474.550. , requirements — form and content. — At the time of its or at any subsequent date, an electronic will may be made self-proved in the same manner as specified in section 474.337 or, if fewer than two witnesses are physically present in the same location as the at the time of such acknowledgments, before a to perform a in this state under the law of any state or the United States, and evidenced by a remote online , in form and content substantially as follows, subject to the additional requirements under section 486.1165:
