The rules in sections 516.320 and 516.330 do not change what happens when someone makes a payment on a debt. A payment of money toward the main amount owed or the interest still counts the same way it always did.
516.340. Sections 516.320 and 516.330 . — Nothing contained in sections 516.320 and 516.330 shall alter, take away or lessen the effect of a payment of any or interest made by any person.
