Fund money not available for certain purposes, exception
The Missouri public entity risk management fund is a pool of money that helps cover certain costs for government bodies. This law lists what that fund will NOT pay for — things like workers' comp claims, fines, criminal defense fees, lawsuits between government employees, claims involving independent contractors, or claims where the government entity didn't cooperate with the investigation. The fund also won't pay anything until all other insurance is used up first. One exception: the fund can pay claims for other government bodies if there is a written contract requiring that coverage.
