Bond may be required

Random law
In plain English

When a judge gives someone probation or parole, the judge can make that person sign a bond — a kind of promise backed by money. The person and one or more co-signers agree to pay a set amount if the person does not show up to court or leaves without permission. If the person breaks the promise, the court can take the money from the bond, the same way it would if someone skipped out before a criminal trial.
