Kidnapping, third degree, penalty
This law is about a less serious form of kidnapping. If someone holds or traps another person against their will in a way that seriously limits that person's freedom, that is third degree kidnapping. It is normally a smaller crime (misdemeanor), but if the trapped person is taken out of Missouri, it becomes a more serious crime (felony).
