This law says that when someone is charged with taking a child away from their legal guardian without permission, the case can be tried in one of four places: where the child was first taken, any place the child was brought or kept, the county where a court gave custody rights, or wherever the accused person is found.

565.163. . — Persons accused of committing the of , or may be by the or :

(1) In the county in which the child was taken or enticed away from ;

(2) In any county in which the child who was taken or enticed away from legal custody was taken or held by the ;

(3) The county in which lawful of the child taken or enticed away was granted; or

(4) The county in which the defendant is found.
