Fraudulent procurement of a credit or debit card
This law is about stealing someone's identity to get a credit or debit card. A person breaks this law if they lie about someone else to get a card issued, use another person's personal information without permission to get credit or goods, or possess a card that was obtained through fraud. This is a Class A misdemeanor. A business that accepts card applications or card payments cannot be charged under this law unless there is strong proof the business was part of the fraud.

(1) makes or causes to be made, directly or indirectly, a false statement regarding another person for the purpose of procuring the of a credit or debit device;
(2) Knowingly obtains a of another person without the of that person and uses that means of identification fraudulently to obtain, or attempt to obtain, credit, goods or services in the name of the other person without the of that person; or
(3) Knowingly possesses a fraudulently obtained credit or debit device.
