Single criminal episode, when

If someone steals, has, moves, or misuses public assistance benefits or EBT cards as part of one ongoing plan or scheme, all of it counts as one crime — even if it happened at different times or involved different people. The total dollar amount can be added together to decide how serious the charge is.
