Detention in terminal by security guard authorized
A security guard at a terminal is allowed to hold someone in place if that person is breaking certain laws about terminals, and the guard can keep them there until police show up. As long as the guard only uses a reasonable amount of force, neither the guard nor the company can get in legal trouble for holding that person.
577.715. in by guard — no criminal or , . — A security guard may detain within the terminal any person committing an act declared by any of sections 577.700 to 577.718 and section 307.176* until law authorities arrive.
