A dog that works for a police or other law enforcement agency is not subject to certain animal laws if it bites or hurts a person or another animal while doing its official job.
578.022. Law dogs, from certain laws, when. — Any dog that is owned, or the of which is employed, by a and that bites or injures another animal or human in the course of their official duties is exempt from the of sections 273.033, 273.036, 578.012, and 578.024.
