Distribution of controlled substance in a protected location
It is a serious crime to sell or give drugs to someone near certain protected places. Those places include within 2,000 feet of a school or school bus, within 1,000 feet of a public park, or on public or government-assisted housing property. Selling 35 grams or less of marijuana or synthetic cannabinoid is the one exception. This crime is a Class A felony, which is one of the most serious levels of crime.

A person commits the of distribution of a controlled substance in a protected location if he or she , sells, or any controlled substance, except thirty-five grams or less of marijuana or , to a person with knowledge that that distribution, or sale is:
