Manufacture of a controlled substance
This law is about making illegal drugs. A person breaks this law if they make, grow, or try to make a controlled substance (an illegal drug), or if they have a controlled substance and plan to make more of it. The punishment depends on the drug and the situation — making drugs near a school is a more serious crime, and making meth that causes someone to get badly hurt or die is the most serious charge. Growing a small amount of marijuana or fake weed is a lesser crime than making other drugs.
