Arrest without warrant, when

A police officer or law enforcement officer can arrest someone without getting a warrant first. This is allowed if the officer sees the person breaking a drug law, or if the officer has a strong reason to believe the person already broke one. The officer has to be working inside the area where they have authority.

579.175. without , when. — Any of the state of Missouri, or of any thereof, may, within the boundaries of the political from which he or she derives his or her , arrest without a warrant any person he or she sees violating or whom he or she has to believe has violated any of this chapter.
