Laws not applicable to hospitals or boarding facility under supervision of veterinarians or research
The pet dealer and animal shelter rules in Missouri law do not apply to animal hospitals or boarding places run by a licensed vet. Those same rules also do not require research facilities to get a license, and the rules cannot control how a research facility does its actual research or experiments.
273.354. Laws not applicable to hospitals or boarding facility under supervision of s or research. — 1. Sections 273.325 to 273.357 shall not apply to a place or which operates under the immediate supervision and control of a as a facility where animals are hospitalized or boarded.
2. Nothing in sections 273.325 to 273.357 shall be as requiring licensing of research facilities or authorizing of rules affecting the design, outlines, , or performance of actual research or experimentation by a as determined by that research facility's .
