If a worker dies on the job, the worker's dependent and the employer can make a deal to set up a different payment plan than what the standard law requires. That deal has to be backed by insurance from a company that Missouri has approved.
287.241. Death benefits, inconsistent with section 287.240, when. — The and the employer may, by agreement, enter into a which provides for different weekly benefits than provided in section 287.240. Any such must be secured by issued by a company approved by the Missouri .
