Declaration as to wages final

A government department sets the standard pay rate for public construction work, and that decision is official unless someone challenges it through the proper legal process. Workers on public projects can always be paid more than that set rate — it is just the minimum. There is no limit on how many hours a worker can put in on a public project.

290.270. Declaration as to wages — maximum wages and hours not limited. — The finding of the ascertaining and declaring the and the shall be final for the , unless reviewed under the of sections 290.210 to 290.340. Nothing in sections 290.210 to 290.340, however, shall be to prohibit the payment to any worker employed on any public work of more than the prevailing hourly rate of wages or the public works contracting minimum wage. Nothing in sections 290.210 to 290.340 shall be construed to limit the hours of work which may be performed by any worker in any particular period of time.
