Fraudulent procurement, use, or certification of disabled person license plates

This law is about cheating with disabled parking permits. If someone gets or uses disabled person license plates or windshield placards dishonestly, that is a crime. Also, if a doctor or other health care provider signs or gives someone a statement saying they qualify for disabled plates when they really don't — or if the diagnosis is outside what that provider is allowed to do — that provider is also committing a crime. Both situations are a class B misdemeanor.

301.141. , use, or of plates — — s, false , penalty. — 1. Fraudulent procurement or use of -person license plates or windshield placards shall be a .

2. Any physician or other health care practitioner to a physician's statement or to enable persons to obtain disabled license plates or windshield hanging placards section 301.142 who issues, signs, or furnishes such statement or certificate to any person who does not meet one or more of the conditions set forth in 1 of section 301.142, if there is no basis for the given, or who issues, signs, or furnishes such statement for a condition, the diagnosis of which is outside the scope of such 's license, is guilty of a class B misdemeanor.
