Missouri agriculture special license plates, application, fee
A person who pays a yearly fee to the Missouri Farm Bureau can get a special 'Missouri Agriculture' license plate for their personal vehicle. The plate shows the Missouri Agriculture in the Classroom logo. The money collected goes to support agriculture education programs. To get the plate, a person pays $25 to the Farm Bureau and $15 extra on top of regular plate fees when registering their vehicle.
301.3079. Missouri agriculture special s, , fee. — 1. Any person, after an annual payment of an to the Missouri Farm Bureau, may receive special license plates for any motor vehicle the member owns, either solely or jointly, other than an or a d in excess of twenty-four thousand . The Missouri Farm Bureau hereby authorizes the use of the Missouri "Agriculture in the Classroom" official to be on within the area prescribed by the and as provided in this section. All moneys received by the Missouri Farm Bureau this section shall be used solely to Missouri's agriculture in the classroom program and to further the mission of such program. Any person may annually apply for the use of the emblem.
2. Upon annual application and payment of a twenty-five dollar emblem-use to Missouri Farm Bureau, the Missouri Farm Bureau shall to the vehicle owner, without further charge, an , which shall be presented by the vehicle owner to the director of revenue at the time of . Upon presentation of the annual statement and payment of a fifteen dollar fee in addition to the regular , and presentation of any documents which may be required by law, the director of revenue shall issue to the vehicle owner a special license plate which shall bear the emblem of the Missouri agriculture in the classroom program and the words "MISSOURI AGRICULTURE" in place of the words "SHOW-ME STATE". Such license plates shall be made with with a common color scheme and design of the standard license plate, shall be clearly visible at night, shall have a reflective white background in the area of the , and shall be aesthetically attractive, as prescribed by section 301.130. the of section 301.144, no additional fee shall be charged for the of license plates pursuant to this section.
3. A vehicle owner who was previously issued a plate with an emblem by this section, but who does not provide an emblem-use authorization statement at a subsequent time of registration, shall be issued a new plate which does not bear such emblem, as otherwise provided by law. The director of revenue shall make necessary for the of this section, and shall design all necessary forms required by this section.
