Missouri Elks Association special license plate, application, fee
A member of Missouri Elks Association can get a special license plate with the Elks emblem on it. To get the plate, a person pays $15 to the Elks Association each year and gets a statement, then pays another $15 fee to the state when registering their vehicle. This only works for regular vehicles — not big commercial trucks over 24,000 pounds.
301.3118. Missouri Elks special , , fee. — 1. Any member of Missouri Elks Association may receive special license plates as prescribed by this section, for any motor vehicle such person owns, either solely or jointly, other than an or a d in excess of twenty-four thousand , after an annual payment of an to Missouri Elks Association of which the person is a member. Missouri Elks Association hereby authorizes the use of its official to be on as provided in this section. Any to Missouri Elks Association derived from this section, except reasonable , shall be used solely for the purposes of Missouri Elks Association. Any member of Missouri Elks Association may annually apply for the use of the emblem.
2. Upon annual application and payment of a fifteen dollar emblem-use contribution to Missouri Elks Association, the organization shall to the vehicle owner, without further charge, an , which shall be presented by the owner to the at the time of of a motor vehicle. Upon presentation of the annual statement, payment of a fifteen dollar fee in addition to the and documents which may be required by law, the department of revenue shall issue to the vehicle owner a which shall bear the emblem of Missouri Elks Association. Such license plates shall be made with with a common color scheme and design, shall be clearly visible at night, and shall be aesthetically attractive, as prescribed by section 301.130.
3. A vehicle owner, who was previously issued a with the Missouri Elks Association emblem by this section but who does not provide an emblem-use authorization statement at a subsequent time of registration, shall be issued a new plate which does not bear the Missouri Elks Association emblem, as otherwise provided by law. The shall make necessary for the of this section, and shall design all necessary forms required by this section.
