Friends of Kids with Cancer special license plates, application, fee

Someone who owns a regular car or truck (not a very large commercial vehicle) can get a special license plate with the Friends of Kids with Cancer logo on it. To get the plate, a person pays $25 a year to Friends of Kids with Cancer, and the organization gives them a statement to bring to the Department of Revenue. Then the person also pays a $15 fee to the Department of Revenue, and they get the special plate. If a person does not pay the $25 the next year, they get a regular plate without the logo.

301.3122. Friends of Kids with Cancer special s, , fee. — 1. Any person may receive special license plates as prescribed by this section, for any motor vehicle such person owns, either solely or jointly, other than an or a d in excess of twenty-four thousand , after an annual of an to the Friends of Kids with Cancer. The Friends of Kids with Cancer hereby authorizes the use of its official to be on as provided in this section. Any person may annually apply for the use of the emblem.

2. Upon annual application and payment of a twenty-five dollar emblem-use contribution to the Friends of Kids with Cancer, the organization shall to the vehicle owner, without further charge, an , which shall be presented by the owner to the at the time of of a motor vehicle. Upon presentation of the annual statement, payment of a fifteen dollar fee in addition to the and documents which may be required by law, the department of revenue shall issue to the vehicle owner a which shall bear the emblem of the Friends of Kids with Cancer and shall bear the words "FRIENDS OF KIDS WITH CANCER" in place of the words "SHOW-ME STATE". Such license plates shall be made with with a common color scheme and design, shall be clearly visible at night, and shall be aesthetically attractive, as prescribed by section 301.130. the of section 301.144, no additional fee shall be charged for the of license plates this section.

3. A vehicle owner, who was previously issued a with the Friends of Kids with Cancer emblem by this section but who does not provide an emblem-use authorization statement at a subsequent time of registration, shall be issued a new plate which does not bear the Friends of Kids with Cancer emblem, as otherwise provided by law.
