A person who owns a vehicle can get a special Lions Club license plate. To get one, they pay $25 to the Lions Club each year to get a permission slip, then pay an extra $15 to the state when they register their vehicle. The plate shows the Lions Club logo and the words 'LIONS CLUB' instead of 'SHOW-ME STATE.' This does not apply to big commercial trucks over 24,000 pounds.

301.468. Lions Club, special s — procedure, fees. — 1. Any vehicle owner who has obtained an annual from the Lions Club may, subject to the provided in section 301.055, apply for Lions Club license plates for any motor vehicle such person owns, other than a d for a in excess of twenty-four thousand . The Lions Club hereby authorizes the use of its official emblem to be on multiyear license plates as provided in this section. Any vehicle owner may annually apply for the use of the emblem.

2. Upon annual application and payment of a twenty-five dollar emblem-use to the Lions Club, the Lions Club shall to the vehicle owner, without further charge, an emblem-use authorization statement, which shall be presented by the vehicle owner to the at the time of of a motor vehicle.

3. Upon presentation of the annual statement and payment of a fifteen dollar fee in addition to the regular registration fees and presentation of other documents which may be required by law, the department of revenue shall issue a license plate to the vehicle owner, which shall bear the emblem of the Lions Club in a form prescribed by the , shall bear six or numbers and shall bear the words "LIONS CLUB" in place of the words "SHOW-ME STATE". Such license plates shall be made with with a common color scheme and design, shall be clearly visible at night, and shall be aesthetically attractive, as prescribed by section 301.130. A fee for the of section 301.144 shall not be required for s issued pursuant to this section.

4. A vehicle owner, who was previously issued a plate with the Lions Club emblem by this section but who does not provide an emblem-use authorization statement at a subsequent time of registration, shall be issued a new plate which does not bear the Lions Club emblem, as otherwise provided by law.
