When someone registers an all-terrain vehicle (ATV), the state sends them a sticker called a decal. The decal shows the registration number and when it expires. It must be stuck on the right front fork or frame of the ATV where people can see it. Registration costs ten dollars and lasts three years. If someone is late registering, there is an extra five dollar penalty fee. If the registration paper or decal gets lost, damaged, or destroyed, the owner has five days to tell the state and pay seven dollars and fifty cents to get a replacement. All the money collected goes into the state's general fund.
