Suspension of school bus permit, when, penalty for noncompliance by driver with suspended permit
If someone fails a drug or alcohol test for school bus drivers, the state can take away their school bus permit for one year. If that person drives a school bus anyway while their permit is suspended, they can be punished under a separate law.
302.276. of , when, for by driver with . — If the receives notification of a failed drug, alcohol or section 302.275 and the makes a that such test was failed, then the director shall the school bus permit, issued pursuant to section 302.272 of such person for a period of one year from the date the determination is made. Any person who operates a school bus, as defined in section 301.010, after having the person's permit suspended pursuant to this section shall be punished in accordance with section 302.321.
