A city, county, or police department cannot have a rule that pushes or forces officers to write a set number of traffic tickets in any time period. This rule does not cover warning tickets, only real citations.
304.125. Traffic violation prohibited--. — No or shall have a policy requiring or encouraging an employee to a certain number of citations for traffic violations on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly, or other . This section shall not apply to the of warning citations.
