Misrepresentation of age by minor to obtain liquor

A person under 21 who lies about their age to get alcohol can be charged with a misdemeanor. If the person is under 17, they may be treated as a delinquent child instead. Anyone under 21 who uses a fake, changed, or copied ID, driver's license, military ID, or passport to get alcohol can be charged with a misdemeanor and fined $500 each time they do it.

Any person of the age of seventeen years and under the age of twenty-one years who shall represent that he has attained the age of twenty-one years for the purpose of purchasing, asking for or in any way receiving any , except in cases by law, shall upon be guilty of a . Any person under the age of seventeen years who shall represent that he has attained the age of twenty-one years for the purpose of purchasing, asking for or in any way receiving any intoxicating liquor, except in cases authorized by law, may be considered a and may be dealt with in accordance with the of chapter 211.

2. In addition to any other penalties established in 1 of this section and established in sections 302.400 to 302.426*, any person who is less than twenty-one years of age who uses a reproduced, or altered , motor vehicle , issued by any of the United States, passport or identification card established in section 302.181 for the purpose of purchasing, asking for or in any way receiving any intoxicating liquor, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be subject to a fine of five hundred dollars for each separate .
