When someone gets divorced and is ordered to pay alimony, that payment stops automatically the day their ex-spouse gets remarried. No need to go back to court to make it stop. However, if there is also a child support order, that still stays in place and does not go away because of the remarriage.
452.075. Remarriage of former spouse ends . — When a divorce has been granted, and the court has made an or providing for the payment of alimony and , the remarriage of the former spouse shall relieve the spouse to pay support from further payment of alimony to the former spouse from the date of the remarriage, without the necessity of further court , but the remarriage shall not relieve the former spouse from the of any or order providing for the support of any .
