Penalties for denial or interference with visitation or custody
If someone blocks or messes with another person's court-ordered visits or custody with a child two or more times in a row, without a good reason, that person can face the same penalties as someone who doesn't pay child support. A court decides if the reason was good enough, and a court can also change or cancel the penalties if there's a good reason. A government division that handles child support cases has no power over these matters — only a court does.
