Procedure to contest validity or enforcement of registered support order
When a support order from another place gets registered in Missouri, someone who wants to fight it has to ask for a hearing within a certain time limit. At that hearing, they can try to cancel the registration, argue they did not break the order, or dispute the amount owed. If they miss the deadline and do not ask for a hearing, the order automatically becomes official. If they do ask for a hearing, the court sets a date and tells everyone when and where to show up.
