Definitions
These are definitions for words used in Missouri laws about shelters for domestic violence victims. A 'designated authority' is the official group in charge of handling money that goes to shelters. A 'shelter for victims of domestic violence' is a place where family or household members who were hurt by domestic violence can stay temporarily.
455.200. Definitions. — As used in sections 455.200 to 455.230, unless the context clearly requires otherwise, the following words and phrases mean:
(1) "", the , , agency, or other body under the of section 488.445 as the to the and distribution of funds to shelters;
(2) "Shelter for victims of " or "shelter", a facility established for the purpose of providing temporary residential or facilities to family or household members who are victims of domestic violence.
