Annual reports by shelters, contents
Shelters for domestic violence victims that get state money must send a yearly report to their local government by March 31st each year. The report must show how many people were helped, their relationship to the abuser, how many were sent to other services, and must include an outside audit. The report cannot name or identify anyone who used the shelter. The local government collects all these reports each year. A shelter can also apply for state money to fix up or build a new shelter, where the state pays 75% and the shelter pays 25%. The state social services department can also fund a special center to help children from homes with violence or conflict, in certain counties of a specific size.

A shelter for victims of that receives s sections 455.200 to 455.230 shall file an annual report with the of the county, or of the , in which it is located, on or before the thirty-first day of March of the year following the year in which funds were received. The annual report shall include statistics on the number of persons by the shelter, the relationship of the victim of domestic violence to the abuser, the number of made for medical, psychological, financial, educational, , child care services or legal services, and shall include the results of an . No contained in the report shall identify any person served by the shelter or enable any person to determine the identity of any such person. Any information contained in the report that is directly related to provided by the shelter shall not be as a violation of section 455.220. Any shelter for victims of domestic violence as defined in this chapter may apply to the department of public safety for a to provide funds for the renovation, construction and improvement of such shelter on a 75/25 state/local match rate, subject to .
2. The designated authority shall compile the reports filed pursuant to 1 of this section annually.
3. In addition to any shelter funded under said section, subject to appropriation, the department of social services shall fund a child assessment center to serve the needs of children from families in conflict and from domestic violence to be located in any without a with a population of more than one hundred sixty thousand but less than two hundred thousand.
