Resignation by executor or administrator, procedure, effect
An executor or administrator (the person in charge of handling a dead person's estate) can ask the court to let them quit the job. They have to file a final settlement first and show a good reason. If the court agrees, it cancels their official permission to act. Quitting this way has the same legal result as being removed from the job by the court.
473.139.
