Contribution between devisees

Random law
In plain English

When a dead person's estate doesn't have enough money to pay all its debts, sometimes specific gifts left in the will have to be reduced or sold. This law says that when that happens, the people who received those specific gifts all share the cost fairly, based on how much their gift was worth. A court decides exactly how much each person owes, and that money can be collected by the person running the estate or by the other gift recipients.
