All government workers (like police or city officials) are required to tell the public administrator if they know about property that could be lost, damaged, or wasted, and that the public administrator is supposed to be taking care of.
473.757. to inform as to property, when. — It shall be the duty of all civil officers to inform the public administrator of all property and known to them which is to loss, or injury, and which by law ought to be in the of the public administrator.
