Preference for spiritual healing not evidence of incapacity
If someone refuses medical treatment because their religion teaches healing through prayer, that choice alone cannot be used as proof that they are unable to make their own decisions.
475.011. Preference for spiritual healing not evidence of . — Nothing in this chapter shall be to constitute evidence of incapacity or of a person solely because such person refuses medical treatment upon the grounds that such person has consistently relied on prayer for healing in accordance with the religion of any church which teaches reliance on spiritual means for healing.
