When a court appoints someone to manage the finances of a disabled adult, the court clerk must put a notice in a newspaper. That notice runs once a week for four weeks in a row. The notice tells anyone who is owed money by that disabled person to file their claim with the court, or they lose their right to collect. The court can skip or delay this notice if it decides to.
