If a prisoner is brought out of jail to testify in court or before some official, they get sent right back to jail when they are done testifying.
491.270. Prisoner to be after ing. — A prisoner who shall be brought before any court, or officer, upon a , to testify, shall be remanded, after having testified, to the prison from which he was taken.
