When someone is required to wear an electronic monitor for life, the Department of Corrections tells the Highway Patrol. The Highway Patrol then adds that monitoring information to the state law enforcement computer system and the sex offender registry, where police and other allowed groups can look it up. The Department of Corrections also tells the Highway Patrol if that monitoring ever gets ended for an offender who is 65 or older.
559.107. Notification of monitoring to patrol — entered into and . — 1. The shall notify the highway patrol of any who is required as a mandatory condition of to be , under section 217.735 and section 559.106, and shall notify the highway patrol when the supervision of the offender has been terminated in cases as determined by a when the offender is sixty-five years of age or older.
2. The highway patrol shall enter the of the offender into the Missouri law system (MULES) and sexual offender registry where it is available to members of the , and other entities as provided by law, upon inquiry.
