Delivery of a controlled substance causing death, offense of
If someone gives or sells a drug to another person, and they knew that drug was mixed with another controlled drug, and someone dies from using it, that is a serious crime. It does not matter if the person who died chose to use the drug themselves. This crime is a Class A felony, which is one of the most serious levels of crime in Missouri.

A person commits the offense of delivery of a controlled substance causing death if a person a controlled substance under section 579.020 knowing such substance is mixed with another controlled substance and a death results from the use of such controlled substance.
