Disabled veteran license plates, eligibility for

A person who served in the U.S. military and was honorably discharged can apply for special disabled veteran license plates if they have a service-related disability serious enough that the government would have given them a free car, or if they get full disability payments from the Veterans Administration because of their service.

301.071. veteran plates, eligibility for. — Any person who has in the and who has been or separated therefrom and who has a of such a nature that it would, if it had been incurred in , have entitled him to be awarded an automobile by the United States Federal Government, or who is receiving from the for , may apply for special motor vehicle license plates as provided in this section.
