Director may change registration periods to equalize work

Random law
In plain English

The head of motor vehicle registration (the director) can change when car owners have to renew their registration if too many people are renewing at the same time and it makes the office too busy or hard to manage. When this happens, the director tells the affected car owners about the change, gives them credit for the time they already paid for, and makes them turn in their old license plates and registration papers. The owner then gets new plates and a new registration card with the updated date, at no charge.
