Daughters of the American Revolution special license plates, application, fee

A member of the Daughters of the American Revolution can get a special DAR license plate for a personal vehicle. First, the person pays a one-time $25 fee to the Missouri State Society DAR to get a permission statement. Then, when registering the vehicle, the person pays an extra $15 fee to the state along with that statement, and the state issues a special plate showing the DAR emblem and name.

301.134. Daughters of the American Revolution special s, , fee. — 1. Daughters of the American Revolution who have obtained an from the Missouri State Society Daughters of the American Revolution may apply for Missouri State Society Daughters of the American Revolution license plates for any motor vehicle the person owns, either solely or jointly, other than an or a d in excess of twenty-four thousand . The Missouri State Society Daughters of the American Revolution hereby authorizes the use of its official to be on as provided in this section.

2. Upon application and payment of a one-time twenty-five dollar emblem-use to the Missouri State Society Daughters of the American Revolution, the Missouri State Society Daughters of the American Revolution shall to the vehicle owner, without further charge, an emblem-use authorization statement, which shall be presented to the at the time of of a motor vehicle.

3. Upon presentation of the statement and payment of a fifteen dollar fee in addition to the regular and presentation of other documents which may be required by law, the department of revenue shall issue a to the vehicle owner, which shall bear the emblem of the Missouri State Society Daughters of the American Revolution and the words "MISSOURI STATE SOCIETY DAUGHTERS OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION" and shall engrave the words "SHOW-ME STATE". Such license plates shall be made with with a common color scheme and design, shall be clearly visible at night, and shall be aesthetically attractive, as prescribed by section 301.130. A fee for the of issued section 301.144 shall not be required for s issued pursuant to this section.
