Fraternal Order of the Eagles, special license plates

Members of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Missouri can get special car license plates with the group's emblem on them. To get the plates, a member pays $25 a year to the Fraternal Order of Eagles, gets a permission slip from them, and then pays the normal personalized plate fee to the state. The money collected by the Eagles group must go toward their educational programs. If a member does not pay and get the permission slip when it's time to renew, the Eagles emblem comes off the next plate.

301.461. of the Eagles, special s — procedure, fees. — 1. Any member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles of the state of Missouri may receive special license plates as prescribed in this section after an annual payment of an to the Fraternal Order of Eagles. The Fraternal Order of Eagles hereby authorizes the use of its official emblem to be on as provided in this section. Any to the Fraternal Order of Eagles derived from this section, except reasonable , shall be used solely for the educational programs or purposes of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Any member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles may annually apply for the use of the emblem.

2. Upon annual application and payment of a twenty-five dollar emblem-use contribution to the Fraternal Order of Eagles, the Fraternal Order of Eagles shall to the vehicle owner, without further charge, an , which shall be presented by the member to the at the time of of a motor vehicle. Upon presentation of the annual statement and payment of the fee required for in section 301.144, and other fees and documents which may be required by law, the department of revenue shall issue a , which shall bear the emblem of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in a form prescribed by the established in section 301.129* to the vehicle owner. Such license plates shall be made with with a common color scheme and design, shall be clearly visible at night, and shall be aesthetically attractive, as prescribed by section 301.130.

3. A vehicle owner, who was previously issued a with the Fraternal Order of Eagles emblem by this section but who does not provide an emblem-use authorization statement at a subsequent time of registration, shall be issued a new plate which does not bear the Fraternal Order of Eagles** emblem, as otherwise provided by law. The shall make necessary for the of this section, and shall design all necessary forms required by this section.
