Third-party motor vehicle reports

Random law
In plain English

When a car dealer shares a vehicle history report (like Carfax) with a buyer or renter, the dealer is not responsible if that report has mistakes or missing information — as long as the dealer did not give wrong information to the company that made the report. However, if the dealer already knows something bad about the car's history that is not in the report, this protection does not apply.
