An adult cannot let their child or someone in their care drive a car on a public road if that child is under 16 years old and does not have the proper permission to drive.
302.250. Children forbidden to operate motor vehicle. — No person shall cause or his child or under the age of sixteen years to drive a motor vehicle upon any when such is not hereunder or in violation of any of the of sections 302.010 to 302.260.
