Deaf and hard of hearing, accommodations for training and application process
Places that teach commercial truck or bus driving must make reasonable accommodations for people who are deaf or hard of hearing. However, if the federal government decides this law causes Missouri to lose federal road funding, the law automatically stops being in effect.
302.723. Deaf and hard of , for training and — , when. — 1. , any providing training to persons preparing to apply for commercial driver's licenses under the of sections 302.700 to 302.780 shall provide for persons who are deaf or hard of hearing.
2. If the United States of Transportation that this section or 7 of section 302.720 has the effect of placing the state of Missouri in with any federal constitutional, statutory, or regulatory that would result in the loss of any to the , then this section shall be null and void.
