Proof of financial responsibility required for reregistration

After someone's driver's license or car registration gets suspended, they have to show proof of insurance for three years once the suspension is over. If they stop keeping that insurance during those three years, the suspension starts again. The state cannot make that person get special high-risk insurance — unless the suspension happened because of an accident where someone involved had no insurance.
