After a town votes on whether to allow selling strong alcoholic drinks by the glass in bars or restaurants, that same question cannot be put to a vote again for at least four years. After four years, a new vote can happen, but only if people follow all the same rules for starting the process.

311.160. Question may be resubmitted, when — manner. — Whenever the question submitted in this chapter provided for has been decided for or against the sale of containing alcohol in excess of five percent , where sold, then the question shall not be again submitted within four years next thereafter in the same incorporated city, and then only on a and in every respect conforming to the of this law.
