If someone is caught knowingly and illegally moving alcohol through Missouri in a way that breaks certain state laws, that alcohol and whatever vehicle it is being carried in can be taken away by the state. Liquor control agents or police officers are the ones who do the seizing.

311.830. Transported liquor and vehicle to be seized as , when. — Any being transported into, within, or through the state of Missouri in knowing and of the of sections 311.410 to 311.460, 311.580 and 311.820 to 311.850, and the in which it is being transported shall be contraband and shall be to the state of Missouri, and the , or any of his agents and inspectors, and any of the state of Missouri shall seize any such liquor and the conveyance in which it is being transported as contraband.
