Platting of real estate

Random law
In plain English

If a court thinks it would be good for a deceased person's estate to split up land into smaller lots for a town or village, the court can order it to happen. The executor or administrator then makes an official map of how the land is divided and brings it back to the court for approval. Once the court approves the map, a certified copy of that approval is attached to it, and the map gets recorded officially.
