Administration of estate of nonresident decedent as original proceeding
When someone who lived in another state or country dies and owns property in Missouri, Missouri handles that property on its own terms. Missouri does not treat its court process as a side process to whatever is happening in another state or country. Missouri runs its own separate, independent process — the same way it would if the person had lived in Missouri.
